Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll for employees across multiple states using ADP Workforce Now or related ADP platforms.
- Maintain and audit payroll records, including earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and direct deposits.
- Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.
- Review and reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, and payroll-related accounts.
- Coordinate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, benefits changes, bonuses, and employee status updates.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing and payroll tax reporting.
- Support audits by preparing payroll documentation and reports as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3 years of payroll processing experience required.
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP Run, or related ADP systems strongly preferred.
- Experience processing multi-state payroll.
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
