What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the company's technical accounting subject matter expert for complex U.S. GAAP matters including:
- Revenue Recognition (ASC 606)
- Business Combinations (ASC 805)
- Leases (ASC 842)
- Share-Based Compensation (ASC 718)
- Fair Value Measurements
- Impairments
- Research and document complex accounting conclusions through technical accounting memos and white papers.
- Maintain and enhance enterprise-wide accounting policies while ensuring consistent application across the organization.
- Partner with business leaders on acquisitions, strategic transactions, licensing agreements, and other non-routine activities.
- Support SOX 404 compliance, control design, and ongoing process improvement initiatives.
- Lead preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and related disclosures.
- Partner with Legal, Investor Relations, and external auditors to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor new accounting standards and SEC guidance while driving implementation across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- CPA required
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional firm strongly preferred)
- Strong background in technical accounting and U.S. GAAP research
- Experience drafting accounting memos and policy documentation
- SEC reporting experience is a plus
- Experience supporting external audits and working with public company reporting requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization
- Experience with SAP and XBRL is a plus
- Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience is beneficial but not required
