What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Xecutive Recruitment Inc.?
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide timely support to customers’ plants upon requests.
• Assist all areas of Supply Chain, tooling, machining, injection molding, Packaging and Outgoing
Quality implementing the necessary processes and controls to assure the quality expectations of
the product, for North American operations.
• Coordinate quality activities among China, Vietnam and North America Plants.
• Perform quality engineering activities and at the same time coordinate the Quality Engineering
actions to develop, implement and improve quality specifications, test methodologies, validation
test protocols, and sampling plans for products and processes.
• Develop, Implement and Improve the Quality Control Plans, FMEA process.
• Must be able to interpret products specifications according to drawing, application, international or
government standards and customer special requirements. Must translate these specifications
and requirements to all personnel and implement the adequate inspection methods, acceptance
criteria and controls to assure compliance.
• Main responsible for the on-time and effective completion of the NPI process. For new Products,
Processes & Customers and for Intercompany Transfers.
• Implement and monitor Quality Metrics to improve the Quality levels, Customer Satisfaction and
Cost of Quality.
• Maintain an active communication with Customers to respond and address all concerns and
inquiries when related to Quality and facilitate continuous process improvements.
• Implementation and effective use of Statistical Process Control tools and methodologies.
• Promote within all the departments the prevention culture over the detection. Eliminate
unnecessary, redundant or inefficient inspections. Prioritize the elimination of 100% inspections.
• Main responsible to assist on External Customer’s and Certification QMS’s Audits.
• Coordinate the implementation, evaluation, maintenance and improvement of all company’s
QMS’s.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or equivalent.
• Must have written and conversational English capabilities.
• Sound and working experience managing effective Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving tools
and techniques such as: Drill Deep & Wide, DOE’s, Cause & Effect, Pareto Charts, 8D’s, etc.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience on Statistical Process Control tools.
• Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt)
• QMS Auditor experience as a minimum on ISO9001.
• Experience working with Lean Manufacturing Tools and Techniques.
• The candidate must also be able to demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication
skills, with all levels of the organization as well as with the Customers.
• Verifiable achieved goals on the development, managing and improvement of Quality KPI’s.
• Good computer and presentation skills. Able to deliver presentations to the management team.
• Travel Flexibility at a short notice.
• The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, analytical, hands-on, critical thinker, team player,
able to work on a fast paced environment, goal oriented and with good cost management skills.
