Senior Superintendent – Healthcare Construction (Charlotte, NC)
A nationally recognized commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead complex healthcare construction projects in the Charlotte market. This role is ideal for a field leader with deep healthcare experience, strong operational oversight skills, and the ability to drive project execution while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

The Senior Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction activities for healthcare projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors and trade partners, maintain project schedules, and ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
This position will serve as the primary field leader and work closely with project management teams, owners, architects, engineers, and hospital stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead all field operations for healthcare construction projects
• Develop and manage site logistics, sequencing, and short-interval schedules
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and self-perform teams
• Maintain project safety standards and enforce OSHA compliance
• Drive schedule performance and proactively resolve field conflicts
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure workmanship meets project requirements
• Coordinate inspections, commissioning, and turnover activities
• Facilitate subcontractor meetings, owner meetings, and daily coordination activities
• Mentor assistant superintendents and field engineers
• Collaborate with project management on budgeting, procurement, and risk mitigation
• Maintain accurate daily reports, progress documentation, and field records
• Ensure compliance with infection control requirements and occupied healthcare facility protocols
Required Qualifications
• 10 years of commercial construction superintendent experience
• Significant healthcare construction experience required
• Proven experience leading large, complex hospital or medical facility projects
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, infection control, and phased construction
• Ability to manage schedules, sequencing, and multiple trades simultaneously
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Stable work history with progressive field leadership experience

• Experience managing projects valued at $50M

Salary : $175,000 - $205,000
