A leading mechanical contractor is seeking a Safety Specialist to support complex life sciences and pharmaceutical construction projects in the Raleigh Durham market. This role will work closely with field leadership and project teams to ensure a strong safety culture across active jobsites, with a focus on compliance, planning, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Support implementation of site specific safety plans across multiple projects
• Conduct daily site walkthroughs audits and safety inspections
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings with field teams and subcontractors
• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Track and report safety metrics documentation and observations
• Partner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate risk
Qualifications
• CHST certification required
• 3 plus years of construction safety experience
• Experience supporting mechanical or MEP construction projects preferred
• Experience in life sciences pharmaceutical or highly regulated environments is a plus
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety best practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with field teams and leadership

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
