Role Overview
This is a hybrid technical and client-facing role ideal for a detail-oriented engineer who enjoys problem-solving and rigorous safety standards. We are looking for an individual who is pragmatic, thorough, and eager to grow within a specialized technical consultancy.
While we welcome applications from seasoned professionals coming from manufacturing, design, or testing backgrounds, we are also actively seeking high-caliber Master’s graduates with a strong theoretical understanding of electrical or mechanical engineering. For entry-level candidates, we provide a structured pathway to learn the complexities of international safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Core Responsibilities
- Technical Assessment: Evaluate complex products against national and international safety standards for specialized environments (e.g., Hazardous Locations).
- Documentation: Author detailed technical reports, maintain project files, and issue formal compliance certificates.
- Testing Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and collaborate with laboratory teams to ensure testing is conducted safely and accurately.
- Hands-on Evaluation: Occasionally conduct or witness physical testing at internal laboratories or on-site at client facilities.
- Consultative Support: Participate in technical advisory meetings to guide clients through the certification process.
- Commercial Collaboration: Assist the sales team in preparing accurate technical quotations based on project scopes.
- Leadership (Senior Level): Mentor junior engineers and perform final technical reviews of draft reports.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or a closely related discipline).
- For Recent Graduates: A Master's Degree in Electrical or similar Degree and strong academic record with a focus on laboratory work, technical writing, or research projects
- For Experienced Hires: * Familiarity with standards for Hazardous Locations (such as the 60079 series) or Ordinary Locations (such as 62368-1, 61010-1, or 60335-1) 1-3 years Experience
- Practical experience in electrical and mechanical testing protocols.
- Analytical Mindset: The ability to interpret complex regulatory language and apply it to physical hardware.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for explaining technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
