Construction Superintendent – Healthcare Location: Wilmington, NC
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a proven background in healthcare construction to lead on-site operations in Wilmington, North Carolina.
This hands-on role is responsible for overseeing the construction and renovation of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, medical office buildings, clinics, and ambulatory surgery centers, while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and infection control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all day-to-day field operations and site activities for active healthcare construction projects
- Lead and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and craft personnel
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Enforce strict healthcare construction protocols, including ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) and ILSM (Interim Life Safety Measures)
- Conduct daily site inspections, quality control checks, and safety audits
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and facility owners
- Maintain accurate daily reports, documentation, and progress tracking
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on healthcare projects
- Strong knowledge of healthcare facility regulations, infection control standards, and construction best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
