What You?ll Do
Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you?ll be a key player in ensuring our fresh cut products meet the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and maintaining food safety and quality assurance systems
- Monitoring production lines to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards
- Conducting sanitation inspections and environmental/allergen swabbing
- Accurately documenting and reporting quality data and findings
- Communicating with production supervisors and managers to resolve product issues
- Identifying and escalating non-conformances or deviations from standards
- Verifying proper labeling, packaging, and product specifications
- Assisting with internal audits and third-party inspections
- Participating in root cause analysis and corrective action processes
- Supporting training efforts for production staff on quality and food safety procedures
- Maintaining calibration and verification records for QA equipment
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce waste
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in English (written and verbal)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Reliable, accountable, and a team player
- Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment
- Background in quality assurance or regulatory compliance
- HACCP, PCQI, or SQF certification (preferred)
- Bilingual communication skills
- Cold environment: 34?42
- F (PPE provided)
- Wet floors and surfaces ? waterproof boots provided and required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
