About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and driven Food Production Manager to oversee our food manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality and safety standards, and managing the plant’s maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and proven leadership experience in production management.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily food production operations to meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.Manage, implement, and improve maintenance programs for equipment and facilities to minimize downtime.Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMPs, etc.).Lead and develop production staff through training, coaching, and performance management.Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in production processes.Maintain accurate production records and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to support smooth operations.Foster a positive, safe, and respectful work environment in line with company policies and values.Qualifications:Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Manufacturing Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.(Candidates with extensive food production management experience and post-secondary education in a related discipline will be considered.)Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the food manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.Proven experience managing maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement methodologies.Demonstrated leadership in conflict resolution, harassment prevention, and employee relations management.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Preferred Training and Certifications:Conflict Resolution TrainingHarassment Prevention / Workplace Respect TrainingLean Manufacturing Concepts & Theory CertificationHACCP or SQF Certification (preferred)Food Safety / Quality Assurance TrainingCompensation and Benefits:Competitive salary based on experienceComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, etc.)Professional development and training opportunitiesPotential for career advancement within a growing organizationCompany DescriptionOur Professional Division works with clients as a stakeholder in their hiring strategy and process.
