Summary Description
Under the direction of the Food Drink Manager of Woodside, Snack Bar staff are responsible for handling member and/or guest orders at the Snack Bar, while maintaining excellent customer service and hospitality. The Snack Bar staff must operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system, process credit card transactions and correctly handle cash transactions. The Snack Bar staff will serve a variety of hot & cold menu items from the Kitchen, and a variety of packaged foods from the Snack Bar. Maintaining cleanliness of the Snack Bar space is a must. Snack Bar staff are required to perform other back of the house tasks that include, but are not limited to, food preparation, fulfilling food orders and maintenance of quality standards, safety, sanitation and cleanliness.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Sets up Snack Bar with all necessary supplies, opens and/or closes the Snack Bar per Woodside opening and closing policies and procedures
- Restocks daily all items sold behind the Snack Bar
- Rotates inventory of any cold or perishable items
- Learns member names and drink preferences whenever possible
- Utilizes the POS system for all bar purchases through MICROS
- Follows all outlined Accounting and cash handling policies and procedures
- Communicate any maintenance issues, inventory needs or areas for improvement to the Food Drink Manager
- Accuracy and speed in executing all assigned tasks
- Assists Servers with bussing, cleaning and glassware when not helping members and/or guests
- Complies with all sanitation regulations and safety standards – uses safety and latex gloves when appropriate
- Maintains a positive and professional approach with members and guests
- Maintains clean, organized and visually appealing areas in and around all food drink outlets
- Moves throughout the shift with purpose
- Attends to all members and/or guests in a timely manner
- Reports any aggressive, suspicious and/or ill member and/or guest behavior to the acting MOD
- May at times be asked to support swim meets and special events within Club
- Complies with Club’s employee handbook manual, departmental policies and procedures and with all applicable federal and state employment laws
- All other duties as assigned
