Summary Description
Under the general direction of the Facilities Summer Staff Supervisor, and the guidance of the Director of Facilities, Pool Utility staff are responsible for promoting a relaxing and enjoyable Club experience for all members and guests by ensuring clean pool decks, empty trash bins and readily available clean towels are provided throughout the day. Pool Utility is responsible for maintaining a pristine environment at the adult pool decks and must uphold and enforce all policies set forth by Woodside. Each employee is responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with all other seasonal staff.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Responsible for continually maintaining clean towels at approved stations and lounge chairs
- Responsible for rolled towel presentation; maintains fully stocked towel stations and lounge chairs
- Regularly collects soiled, wet towels and ensures they are dropped off in the Laundry Room for cleaning
- Maintains all pool areas as prescribed by Woodside: umbrellas, tables, chairs, blocks, lounge chairs, towels etc.
- Must make sure all unoccupied chairs are uniform and reset the exact same way throughout shift
- Continuously monitors chairs for lack of use, picks up used towels and service items to make lounge chair available
- Picks up and sweeps trash around pool area; empties trash cans.
- Works with the Laundry Room and assists with washing, drying and folding towels, as needed
- Assists with removing dirty dishes and empty cups from adult pool deck, as needed
- Assists with skimming the adult pools, as needed
- Properly handles Lost & Found items per outlined policies and procedures
- Reports any maintenance/emergency issues as they arise
- May at times be asked to support special events within Club
- Moves throughout the shift with purpose; no personal cell phone usage during shift - unless on break
- Participates in GroupMe messaging app to review news/updates/coverage requests/etc.
- Works or finds coverage for all scheduled shifts
- Complies with Club’s employee handbook manual, departmental policies and procedures and with all applicable federal and state employment laws
- All other duties as assigned

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.
