Summary Description
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Member Staff but with guidance from the Member Staff Coordinator and Front Desk Lead, the Pool Desk Agent works at the primary entrance of the Family Pool, focusing on greeting and welcoming members, guests and Westwood Pool Pass holders with an enthusiastic and professional attitude. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring pool check-ins for members and guests and acting as a gatekeeper for entry. The Pool Desk Agent consistently displays patience and courtesy, engaging with an outgoing personality and an upbeat demeanor while demonstrating the aptitude for exercising sound judgment in delivering excellent customer service.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Acknowledges and greets everyone who comes into the Family Pool
- Checks in members & guests, verifies active membership status or City of Westwood Pool Pass
- Obtains signed agreements, waivers & photos for members and/ or guests, as required
- Handles guests according to Club Policy and securing applicable waivers
- Does not allow youths to wonder outside of the front entrance unattended
- Responds to member inquiries according to Club policy
- Responds to any emergency according to Club policy
- Maintains a clean and debris free area including desk and Pool House areas
- Communicates with Housekeeping to stock clean towels, restroom supplies, etc.
- Follows all outlined Accounting and cash handling policies and procedures
- Properly handles Lost & Found items per outlined policies and procedures
- Does not allow entrance to a child under the age of 16 without a parent/guardian, approved or youth sibling member 16
- Follows Club policies and procedures regarding member activities and enforces those policies
- Provides secondary support for Pool Utility staff by assisting with overflow trash receptacles, towels, etc.
- May at times be asked to support special events within Club
- Stays informed of all club policies, activities and events as to accurately provide information, event details or relay policies correctly
- Complies with Club’s employee handbook manual, departmental policies, and procedures and with all applicable federal and state employment laws
- All other duties as assigned
