Essential Job Functions
Responsibility to Ownership/Management…
- Must be able to act in a support role for ownership, guests and other service staff.
- Complete opening and closing side work as determined by management
- Is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management which the associate can perform.
- Participates in departmental meetings, inter-departmental meetings, shift line-ups and incentive programs.
- Is responsible for the safe handling of equipment.
- Is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately with guests and co-workers.
- Must be able to act in a support role for ownership, guests and other service staff.
- Cordially greets members and guests; calls them by name if known.
- Maintains proper behavior and appearance, including a “clean and pressed” uniform.
- Has skill in approaching all encounters with guests, members and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the dining room.
- Body language must suggest an attentive an energetic orientation.
- Must be self motivated and know to take initiative with the intent to improve and positively impact guest related situations.
- Must be able to effectively use and maintain eye contact with guests.
- Must be familiar with commonly accepted standards of etiquette and decorum relating to dining service.
- Must be prepared to yield the right of way to guests.
- Must be “attitude free” and be willing to provide all necessary professional courtesies; as well as having an innate understanding of the importance of finding many reasons to say “yes” before saying “no”.
- Must always use a sincere smile and appropriate gestures to convey feelings of warmth, openness and a genuine desire to please.
- Must be prepared to yield the right of way to guests. All guest interaction must be positive and professional.
- Has a professional attitude that conveys cooperation, willingness to learn and a desire to excel and contribute to guest satisfaction.

- Must be able to expedite food orders and bring food to correct tables, and ensure food is served to the correct person ( No Actioning off Food)
- Must be able to constructively accept direction and instruction from other service staff with the object of improving related situations.
- Must be able to act in a support role for ownership, guests and other service staff.
- Assist waiters and waitress in serving meals, clearing tables, delivering food and drinks; assisting in the dining room as needed.
- Assists in carrying food trays to tables
- Has skill in approaching all encounters with guests, members and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Effectively communicate with servers.
- Must be able to make and arrange tables and chairs at the outset of each shift as directed by management.
- Must be able to properly stock dining room stations with the required amount of linen, B&B plates, flatware, glassware and other items necessary for effective service.
- Must clear and reset tables as instructed.
- Must provide water service on demand in a professional manner
- Removes soiled dishes from table without stacking more than is reasonable and brings to dish washing area.
- Maintains clean floors in the dining room throughout food service
- Collects trash from dining room and other specified areas after each serving period.
- Returns equipment to its proper place.
- Must be able to spend several hours at a time standing up or walking.
