Under the Director and Deputy Director of the Center for National Security Studies, the National Security Student Coordinator is responsible for managing student involvement in the Center for National Security Studies and will assist the Director and Center Admin with any tasks needed.
This position will require 15 hours of work per week, and the coordinator should be reachable via Teams, email, and by phone.

Summary Of Responsibilities
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Run Student Leadership meetings
- Coordinate class schedules
- Be a representative of the program
- Track student organizations
- Assist with admin tasks
- Manage Summer Seminar, Study Abroad, and Strider Fellows applications
- Handle RSVPs
- Track NSS emails
- Engage with academic departments
- Maintain alumni data.
- Must be a UVU student
- Knowledge of survey software(such as Qualtrics) and data collection
- Microsoft Suite proficiency
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- NSS clubs and student activities
- How to set up NSS-related events
- Volunteer and new opportunities that further student involvement
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Excellent volunteer/people management skills
- Office skills, including Microsoft Suite proficiency
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Apply effective general principles to specific conditions
- Follow written and oral procedures and instructions
- Work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and administrators from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
