In accordance with the mission of Wood Health Company, the Medical Assistant (MA) will provide clinical and administrative support in a medical office setting, under the direction of the physician and office manager/coordinator. The Medical Assistant is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization.

Medical Office MA/LPN / Wood County ENT / Full Time
In accordance with the mission of Wood Health Company, the Medical Assistant (MA) will provide clinical and administrative support in a medical office setting, under the direction of the physician and office manager/coordinator. The Medical Assistant is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization.
Essential Functions
- Provide patient care as appropriate within your scope of practice by assessing and triaging patients, assisting with exams and procedures, administering medications and injections, executing venipunctures, initiating IVs, and responding to emergencies.
- Perform diagnostic testing and specimen collection.
- Maintain accurate documentation by recording patient care and communications as well as managing records, prescriptions, and authorizations.
- Coordinate patient care by communicating with appropriate care partners to support treatment, scheduling, and return-to-work planning.
- Support clinic operations and safety by maintaining exam rooms and equipment, managing supplies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to staff training and quality improvement.
- Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
- Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required License/Certification:
- Licensed LPN in the state of Ohio, or Registered/Certified Medical Assistant
