Payment Operations Specialist – Subpoena Processing
Job Summary
The Payment Operations Specialist – Subpoena Processing is responsible for accurately and efficiently handling legal documents related to garnishments and subpoenas. This role manages the administrative and operational aspects of legal and financial orders, ensures compliance with applicable laws and policies, and supports legal and law enforcement personnel by processing documentation within defined service level agreements.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify the authenticity and accuracy of subpoenas and related legal documents.
- Ensure timely and correct processing and service of subpoenas to relevant individuals or organizations.
- Collect, organize, and prepare requested documents or evidence in response to subpoenas.
- Coordinate with legal counsel and law enforcement personnel to ensure full compliance with legal requests.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures related to garnishments and subpoenas.
- Ensure all processing activities adhere to legal standards, internal policies, and departmental procedures.
- Identify, address, and resolve issues or discrepancies related to garnishments, subpoenas, and associated records.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all subpoena and garnishment activities in applicable systems, including Salesforce or similar tools.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with subpoenas and garnishments in a court, judicial, or law enforcement environment.
- Ability to run and interpret queries in a database environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with Federal and State agencies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism.
