What are the responsibilities and job description for the WELDER/CGF LABORER position at WISCONSIN ALUMINUM FOUNDRY MASTER?
Position Summary/Objective
The employee will be responsible for cutting, grinding, and finishing aluminum castings to meet quality standards and specifications.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Operate grinding, cutting and finishing tools to remove excess material from aluminum castings.
Smooth and refine surfaces to meet design specifications, ensuring the highest quality finishes on aluminum products.
Perform trimming and deburring of castings to eliminate sharp edges and imperfections.
Use hand tools and power tools (grinders, sanders, etc) to finish parts.
Inspect castings during and after the grinding and finishing process for defects, such as cracks, surface imperfections, or incorrect dimensions.
Ensure the finished products meet internal quality standards and customers specifications.
Maintain and care for finishing equipment, ensuring tools are in proper working condition and replaced, when necessary, to prevent equipment downtime and ensure safe operations.

Regularly required to talk and hear.
Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
