WELDER/CGF LABORER

Position Summary/Objective

The employee will be responsible for cutting, grinding, and finishing aluminum castings to meet quality standards and specifications.

Essential Functions

1. Operate grinding, cutting and finishing tools to remove excess material from aluminum castings.

1.  Smooth and refine surfaces to meet design specifications, ensuring the highest quality finishes on aluminum products.

1. Perform trimming and deburring of castings to eliminate sharp edges and imperfections.

1. Use hand tools and power tools (grinders, sanders, etc) to finish parts.

1. Inspect castings during and after the grinding and finishing process for defects, such as cracks, surface imperfections, or incorrect dimensions.

1. Ensure the finished products meet internal quality standards and customers specifications.

1. Maintain and care for finishing equipment, ensuring tools are in proper working condition and replaced, when necessary, to prevent equipment downtime and ensure safe operations.
