We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support quality initiatives across production, including core, mold, and finishing processes

  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions

  • Conduct root cause analysis (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys) and implement sustainable solutions

  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with quality standards

  • Partner with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve processes and reduce defects

  • Assist with customer quality concerns, investigations, and documentation

  • Maintain and improve quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment preferred

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, continuous improvement, and statistical analysis

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and quality standards

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

  • Self-motivated, organized, and proactive with a strong attention to detail

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and interpret quality standards for parts.
  • Customer liaison for quality related topics.
  • Supplier quality liaison for quality related topics.
  • Support CI (Continuous Improvement), CAR (Corrective Actions) and QMS (Quality Management System) improvements.
  • Perform quality and process product audits.
  • Analyze product data.
  • Train Team on systems, standards and tools.
  • Supports TS16949 and ISO14001 initiatives.
  • And, any additional duties that may be assigned by Management.

  • Excellent ability communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • Ability to maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends.
  • Ability to lead projects to create a collaborative working environment; and, ability to provide leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to make decisions, results driven and strong follow through skills.
  • Ability to train others to quality issues as they arise.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details; good analytical problem solving ability.
  • Ability to deal comfortably with all levels within the organization; ability to contribute in a cross functional collaborative environment.

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • BS Degree in business, management or other related discipline.
  • At least 3 years progressive experience in Quality. Preferably automotive environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal work environment - office, factory and store room with minimal exposure to noise, odors, dust and drafts. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; balance and stoop; and push pull, transfer, move, lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally 35 lbs. The employee must regularly stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.

Salary : $67,637 - $101,497
