Winter Construction is hiring a General Superintendent to support our Spaces Division, overseeing adaptive reuse, historic renovation, and tenant buildout projects. This role is responsible for leading field operations across multiple projects while ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction remain consistent with Winter’s standards.
This position is well-suited for an experienced field leader who thrives in complex, detail-driven environments and is comfortable managing teams, occupied spaces, and phased construction work.
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of experience leading field operations on small to mid-sized commercial construction projects
- Proven ability to support and develop Superintendents and field teams across multiple active jobs
- Strong working knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing
- Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety and risk management standards
- Experience supporting preconstruction efforts and competitive bid work
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to manage priorities in a high-volume, fast-turn project environment

Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and support for Superintendents on SPACES division projects under $1M–$10M
- Ensure projects meet established standards for safety, quality, and schedule adherence
- Manage and coordinate field resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects
- Support project start-up activities and assist teams through closeout
- Review project challenges related to constructability, scheduling, quality, and safety, and recommend solutions
- Assist with recruiting, training, performance management, and development of field personnel
- Support preconstruction activities for negotiated SPACES work and competitive bids
- Participate in business development efforts, including RFQ/RFP responses and presentations
