Overview
Our Wingate by Wyndham hotel is seeking a friendly, attentive, and efficient Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in welcoming our guests, running the front desk, and assisting with public area cleaning and laundry duties on down time. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service in the hospitality industry.
We are seeking to add one individual to our team - for a minimum of 16 hours and maximum of 40 hours a week. Overtime is allowed in the cases of filling in for someone else, emergencies, etc. The shift hours include Friday and Saturdays 2 pm to 10 pm shifts, and some 10 pm and 6 am shifts.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring accuracy in guest information.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Process reservations and cancellations using multi-line phone systems and hotel management software.
- Assist with night audit duties as required, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Maintain front desk appearance and ensure the area is organized and welcoming.
- Address guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are ready for arrivals.
- Provide support for special requests or needs from guests, enhancing their overall experience.
Skills
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to diverse guests and fellow staff members.
- Previous hotel experience is preferred, particularly in front desk operations or guest services roles.
- Proficient in phone etiquette and handling multi-line phone systems effectively.
- Knowledge of night audit processes is a plus, along with familiarity with hotel management software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and resolve issues amicably.
