Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage vendor payments and bill processing across multiple entities, including retail stores. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and experienced in handling complex payables in accordance with GAAP standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable across multiple entities
- Set up and maintain chart of accounts for retail and real estate businesses
- Oversee bill payment systems and maintain vendor relationships
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial reports for management review
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience with multiple entities
- Proven experience setting up chart of accounts from scratch
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with bill payment software and automated systems
- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices for retail
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
- Bookkeeping certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper)
- Familiarity with accrual-based accounting methods
