We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and collections from customers. This role is essential to keeping our financial operations running smoothly while supporting the company’s overall growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Manage accounts receivable by issuing invoices, posting customer payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and vendor/customer accounts regularly.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and prepare financial reports as needed.
- Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems for all AP/AR transactions.
- Support the finance team with special projects and audits as required.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or equipment parts industry a plus.
