What are the responsibilities and job description for the Generalist position at Wind River Hotel and Casino?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare paperwork, schedule and facilitate new hire onboarding process.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills for required openings.
- Posts jobs, schedules, and conducts interviews.
- Assists in all areas of Human Resources department
- Assists in employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers.
- Ensures new hire paperwork is completed for approval.
- General clerical duties including copying, faxing, filing.
- Practice and always maintain confidentiality.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Must be able to obtain UA and BAC credentials within 90 days of hire.
- All other duties assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1 of year clerical/administrative experience in a similar sized organization.
- Must have good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent phone etiquette.
- Must be proficient with MS Office.
- Must have good written communication skills.
- Previous Human Resources experience is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have good manual and finger dexterity.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to stand, push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates Degree in Business or related field (preferred but not required)
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Adjust to a flexible schedule and be reliable.
- Must be available 24/7 for questions
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and able to work alternating shifts including peak hours, promotions, holidays, and weekends.
- Must be 18 at time of hire.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Test.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
