What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Auditor/Revenue Auditor position at Wind River Hotel and Casino?
Duties and Responsibilities: The following is a list of the main duties/responsibilities: other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.
- Accurately collect, review, and submit, and process payroll related responsibilities in accordance with established schedules and policies.
- Ensure employee time records, pay adjustments, and payroll changes are complete, approved, and submitted timely.
- Coordinate with Human Resources, department managers, and leadership to resolve discrepancies, corrections, or employee payroll inquires.
- Adhere to internal controls, audit requirements, and organization/federal policies related to payroll processing.
- Assist with audits, investigations, and reporting related to payroll and compensation.
- Conducts audits and maintains records in accordance with National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) regulations.
- Conducts audits for compliance with other state and federal regulations, along with casino/corporate policies and procedures.
- Prepares exception reports for instances on non-compliance with operational practices.
- Audits revenues from table games, restaurants, and slots.
- Audits vault/cage documents.
- Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), System of Internal Controls (SICS), and Casino Policies and Procedures.
- Preform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality.
- Familiarity and experience with general office with general office equipment, including but not limited to 10-key calculator by touch, computerized financial systems.
- Minimum if intermediary level of Microsoft Office Experience (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from vendors, managers, and employees.
- Ability to communicate information through spoken words and sentences that others will understand in a position manner.
- Ability to complete assessments accurately and timely.
- Abilit to demonstrate understanding of audits performed.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy while working in spreadsheet, financial auditing, materials, and data management.
- Must have the ability to multitask in a organized manner with the ability prioritize competing deadlines.
Education And/Or Experience:
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add. subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must be licensable under the requirement of the Northern Arapaho gaming Agency.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must have a valid Wyoming driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a second-hand smoke, high smoke, high noise, bright lights, dusty and smoke-filled environment.
- Must have ability to deal with and adapt to frequent changed, delays, and unexpected events at time.
- Work in normally preformed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- No or very limited physical effort required.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- Must be able to work sitting at workstation for duration of the shift.
- Must be able to lift 25Ibs.
