As a Dietary Aide, you will assist with meal preparation, meal service, kitchen sanitation, and maintaining a clean dining environment for residents and staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the cook and dietary manager with food preparation
- Preparing salads, desserts, snacks, and beverages
- Portioning and serving meals according to dietary guidelines
- Labeling and preparing nourishments and supplements
- Following sanitation and food safety procedures
- Cleaning kitchen equipment, work areas, and dining spaces
- Assisting with tray service and meal delivery
- Following production sheets and meal preparation instructions
- Supporting special meals and facility events as needed
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Strong teamwork and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Reliable attendance and positive attitude
- Food service experience preferred
- Long-term care or nursing home experience preferred, but not required
