Willowcreek Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN) to lead and support our infection prevention and control program. This position plays a vital role in protecting the health and well-being of our residents, staff, and visitors through education, monitoring, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.

Position Summary
The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and overseeing the facility’s infection prevention and control program in accordance with current federal, state, and local guidelines. The Infection Control Nurse works closely with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to promote a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, investigate, and track infections within the facility
- Implement and oversee infection prevention and control practices
- Conduct surveillance, data collection, and infection trend analysis
- Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, CMS, and state infection control regulations
- Educate staff on infection prevention protocols, PPE usage, hand hygiene, and isolation procedures
- Assist with outbreak management and response planning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement corrective action plans
- Maintain accurate infection control documentation and reporting
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
- Support employee health initiatives and vaccination tracking as needed
- Current and active RN or LPN license in Missouri
- Previous infection control or long-term care experience preferred
- Knowledge of CDC and OSHA infection prevention guidelines
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
