Willmer Engineering is seeking an experienced CMT Engineering Technician to join our Construction Materials Testing team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you’ll perform field testing, observe project conditions, and ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Test soils, concrete, masonry, asphalt, and other construction materials in the field
- Operate equipment (nuclear density gauge, compression machines, coring devices)
- Document and submit accurate reports via mobile devices
- Communicate findings with clients, contractors, and engineering staff
- Assist with special inspections and site assessments
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Radiation Safety/Nuclear Density Gauge certification preferred
- NICET Level I or II and ACI Level I Concrete certifications preferred
- DOT project experience a plus
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in varied outdoor conditions
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment screening
