A New York-based, VC-backed B2B SaaS company with under 200 employees entering its next phase of growth. The product is in market and gaining traction across enterprise customers. The internal infrastructure is still being built.
This is not a plug-into-a-machine role. It is a build-it, own-it, fix-it environment.
Finance is evolving from a lean startup function into a scalable operation. The leadership team has strong backing and a clear growth plan. They need someone who can come in, take ownership, and leave things better than they found them.
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Accounting Manager will own the core accounting function and help build the foundation as the company scales.
You will own the close, clean up processes, put structure in place, and help the business get to a point where it can support continued growth, audits, and investor expectations.
If you need a fully built-out team and perfect processes, this is not the role. If you like stepping into something that needs structure, you will do well here.
Senior Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day accounting across AR, AP, payroll, billing, and general ledger
- Month-end close and tightening timelines as the business grows
- Financial reporting for internal leadership and investor-level reporting
- GAAP compliance and revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Audit readiness and direct work with external auditors and tax advisors
- Cash flow, forecasting, and operational visibility in partnership with the CFO
- Internal controls, accounting processes, and systems as the company scales
- Finance partnership across HR, Legal, and Operations
Senior Accounting Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7 years of experience; 2 in a B2B SaaS environment
- Strong command of GAAP and ASC 606
- Experience closing the books independently and improving processes
- Exposure to audits and building structure from the ground up
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with modern accounting tools
- CPA is a plus not required
Salary : $165,000 - $185,000
