Position Summary
The Graduate Assistant is a structured, part-time role within Wiley University’s Workforce Pipeline Initiative designed for graduate students to contribute meaningfully to institutional operations while completing their degree.
Graduate Assistants are selected based on their ability to support functional and academic priorities, demonstrate professionalism, and operate with a higher level of accountability. In exchange, Graduate Assistants receive full tuition support and professional experience aligned with their field of study.
This position is designed to develop students into skilled professionals while contributing to the effectiveness of the University.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary by assignment but will include:
- Support departmental operations, academic functions, or institutional initiatives
- Assist with program coordination, project execution, and administrative processes
- Contribute to data analysis, reporting, and documentation
- Support student-facing services, academic programs, or operational workflows
- Maintain professional communication with faculty, staff, and students
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion
- Complete assigned projects within established timelines
- Participate in required training and development through People and Culture
- Attend regular meetings with assigned supervisor
- Contribute to at least one defined project or initiative per term

Minimum Qualifications
Admitted and enrolled in a Wiley University graduate program
Unconditional admission status
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Enrolled in at least 3 credit hours per term
Ability to work up to 20 hours per week
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Demonstrated professionalism and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
Prior professional, internship, or leadership experience
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Experience in administrative, academic, or project-based work
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Alignment between academic program and assigned role
Work Structure
Part-time position
Up to 20 hours per week
Schedule determined by department and supervisor
