Medical Assistants play a crucial role in supporting physician offices by preparing patients for examinations, recording vital signs, collecting medical histories, and ensuring accurate documentation. They work primarily during standard hours with no travel or on-call requirements, maintaining efficient office flow and patient care quality.

 

Responsibilities

  • Measure and record vital signs accurately
  • Collect and document comprehensive medical histories
  • Maintain detailed and organized patient records
  • Update Current Medication List

 

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems- E Clinical Works
  • Effective patient communication skills
  • Strong time management abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 years of experience in medical assisting
  • High School Diploma or GED
