What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Assistants Part TIme position at Love and Learn Preschool, St. Mary's campus?
Job Summary LOVE and LEARN
15-20 hours per week; opening and closing.
Assistant Teachers will be responsible for supporting the the provided curriculum. The assistant teachers will also develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families, while creating a safe, and welcoming environment within their classroom.
Responsibilities
1. Engage in frequent, and positive, communication with children
2. Support provided curriculum
3. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
4. Engage with children during all activities to model appropriate social interactions and build/maintain trusting relationships; provide constant supervision of children.
We require applicants to have
- Background check/fingerprinting (Prior to official employment offer-will be completed by Love N’ Learn)
- CMG Safe Environment Training (Prior to official employment offer-Love N’ Learn leadership will provide needed instructions)
Additional Qualifications/Training vary by Teacher role or for Assistant roles.
- Obtain certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR (May be obtained within 30 calendar days after the date of employment)
- Complete18hr Health and Safety Training Course (May be obtained within 30 calendar days after the date of employment)
- Complete staff orientation at time of employment
- Complete 16 clock-hours of approved in-service training annually
- Be 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
- College hours in Early Childhood Education, or related field
- Work experience in childcare, PreK, or related field
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies
