About the Team / Role
As a Compliance Coordinator, you’ll be part of the Supply Chain team, where you’ll contribute to meaningful work that impacts our brands and our customers every day. We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator to support regulatory and product compliance across our portfolio, with a primary focus on human and pet supplements and secondary support for cosmetics and textiles. This entry-level role partners with external consultants across the US, UK, EU, and Australia to coordinate compliance workstreams, manage checklists, and ensure accurate implementation of regulatory guidance across labels, claims, and product documentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and skilled at translating complex requirements into clear, actionable steps for internal teams.
Responsibilities:
A. Consultant Coordination Compliance Support (Core of the Role)
- Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for external compliance consultants.
- Organize requests to consultants (labels, claims, ingredients, product types, market scope).
- Track deliverables, deadlines, and consultant feedback to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Review consultant guidance and translate it into:
- clear internal action items
- label edits
- claims revisions
- documentation requirements
- Escalate unclear or high-risk compliance issues to leadership and/or consultants.
B. Label Review Support (Consumables Priority)
- Manage label review workflows for:
- human supplements and pet supplements (primary focus)
- cosmetics/textiles as needed (secondary)
- Ensure labels include required elements by market (US, UK, EU, AU), such as:
- ingredient lists
- directions for use
- warnings/allergens
- net quantity statements
- Supplement Facts / nutrition panels (where applicable)
- Coordinate label updates with internal creative teams and ensure version control is maintained.
- Maintain standardized label review checklists and keep internal templates up to date.
C. Claims Review Marketing Compliance Support
- Collect and organize product claims used across:
- Packaging
- websites/PDPs
- ads, emails, influencer/affiliate content
- Route claims to consultants when needed and track approvals.
- Maintain an internal “approved claims” and “restricted claims” list by product/region.
- Work with marketing teams to implement compliant rewrites when guidance is received.
D. Compliance Documentation Product Readiness
- Maintain compliance documentation folders and ensure files are complete and accessible, including:
- COAs, specs, stability data, substantiation materials
- Build and maintain a Product Compliance Checklist per SKU for key markets.
- Ensure compliance steps are completed as part of the product launch process.
E. Cross-functional Collaboration Process Improvement
- Work closely with Product Development, QA, Supply Chain Planning, and Marketing to keep launches moving.
- Keep a compliance tracker and clearly communicate progress, risks, and next steps.
- Assist in building scalable compliance SOPs to reduce repeated work and speed up approvals.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years experience in a compliance, quality, regulatory, or operations role
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with labels, claims, and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to work with consultants and internal teams.
- Ability to organize multiple projects and keep timelines moving.
- Comfortable working in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and managing version control.
