Whitecap Search is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee accounts receivable operations, cash application processes, and related accounting activities. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial transactions, supporting the organization's revenue cycle. The ideal candidate will manage customer payments, maintain receivable records, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end close and financial reporting. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments are essential.
Responsibilities- Process and apply customer payments accurately and timely.
- Monitor daily cash activity and maintain supporting documentation.
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain customer invoices and billing records.
- Maintain customer account information and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and perform collection follow-up as needed.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports.
- Coordinate recurring payment schedules and electronic payment processing.
- Perform accounts receivable reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts related to receivables and cash.
- Assist with intercompany transactions and billing activities.
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and documentation for management and auditors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Support special projects, process improvements, and other accounting functions as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, with emphasis on accounts receivable, cash applications, or general accounting.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Experience with ERP/accounting software (Preference with Oracle Fusion) and Microsoft Excel.
