Senior Auditor - Holding Company

Our client, a family-owned provider of yacht marina, repair, and maintenance services, is seeking a Senior Auditor to join their team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Sr Auditor will lead and manage the audit process to ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. In addition to overseeing and enhancing audit procedures, the person will serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external audit engagements. Job Function

• Lead internal and external financial audits by preparing required documentation, managing audit processes, and responding to inquiries.
• Conduct audits in line with professional standards and regulatory requirements, evaluating processes, systems, and controls for compliance and effectiveness.
• Perform risk assessments to identify control weaknesses and areas of financial or operational risk, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain and update the Internal Control Matrix to ensure appropriate segregation of duties and minimize risk of misstatement.
• Prepare and analyze complex financial reports, including reconciliations, account analyses, and month-end close activities.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by providing financial insights and conducting data-driven analysis.
• Stay current on accounting standards and auditing regulations, contributing to process improvements and ensuring ongoing compliance.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• 3 years of audit experience from a Big 4 or other large public accounting firm.
• Active CPA license is required.
