WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Pediatrics Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in NYC.
Job Function:
- Day Shift and Night Shift.
- Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
- Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
- Educates patients on surgical procedures. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.
- Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.
- Initiates corrective action whenever the patient.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Certification as a registered nurse for pediatric care in the state of New York.
- 2 years of experience in hospital setting as a Peds acute nurse.
- BLS and ACLS from the AHA are required.
- PALS certification required.
