WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Greensburg, PA. This role is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.
Job Function:
- Day Shift.
- 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.
- Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR
- Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist with room turnover
- Assist with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Handle and label specimens according to policy
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards
- Identify and initiate corrective actions when necessary
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow
Job Requirements:
Active PA RN license in hand (or Compact)
Minimum 2 years of experience
Cardiothoracic OR experience is REQUIRED
Travel experience required
BLS certification.
