We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial operations for a manufacturing facility in New York City. This role will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and internal controls while partnering closely with plant leadership to support operational and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cost accounting and financial analysis, along with the ability to drive efficiency, improve financial processes, and support the overall profitability of the plant.

Job Function

• Lead end-to-end financial reporting for the plant, delivering accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statements while ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting processes by partnering with plant leadership to develop annual budgets, monitor performance, and provide meaningful variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Oversee cost management and procurement financials, including standard costing, PPV analysis, cost-driver insights, and cost-reduction initiatives to improve plant profitability.
• Strengthen operational discipline through effective internal controls and accurate inventory management, including valuation oversight, physical counts, and reconciliations.
• Lead and develop a high-performing plant finance team while collaborating cross-functionally to support operational excellence, strategic projects, and continuous improvement.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• 5 years of experience required. Demonstrated financial expertise with strong knowledge of accounting principles, cost accounting, budgeting, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
• Effective people leader with experience developing, mentoring, and motivating finance teams, along with strong communication skills to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong collaborator with solid project management skills; able to build cross-functional relationships, drive initiatives forward, and support both operational and strategic business objectives.
