- Maintain and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting close processes
- Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide actionable insights
- Partner with operations to improve cost efficiency and reduce waste
- Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Prepare detailed cost reports and financial analysis for leadership
- Ensure accuracy of cost data within ERP systems
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements within cost accounting functions
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–7 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of standard costing and variance analysis
- Experience with Sage X3 or other ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally
