Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with integrity and attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment
- Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly while balancing multiple responsibilities
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is preferred; coffee experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks comfortably
- Experience in serving or retail environments within the food industry is advantageous
