Westmoreland County Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Coordinator/Advancement position. This position is responsible for assisting with seeking, developing, writing, maintaining, and monitoring grant programs and internal grants compliance reviews for the College.
The minimum annual salary for this position is $58,860. We also offer an excellent benefits package that includes:

Essential Job Functions:
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation donors, aligning their philanthropic interests with institutional priorities and funding opportunities.
- Write persuasive proposals, letters of inquiry, and case statements for major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants, tailoring each to reflect donor motivations and organizational impact.
- Represent the college at donor meetings, community events, and campus visits, effectively communicating institutional goals, campaign priorities, and student success stories.
- Monitor and report on the performance of funded initiatives to ensure compliance and transparency. Work with project leads to assess outcomes and communicate impact to both donors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure donors receive timely and meaningful acknowledgment, impact reporting, and engagement opportunities that reinforce long-term relationships and future giving.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather project details, budgets, and narratives to ensure proposals accurately reflect institutional priorities and meet funder requirements.
- Document contacts, solicitations, and proposals in the donor database to support institutional reporting, campaign tracking, and performance metrics.
- Provide stories, impact updates, and donor highlights for newsletters, social media, and campaign materials to enhance donor engagement and visibility.
- Proactively develop and sustain relationships with businesses, community organizations, workforce partners, and civic groups to identify shared interests and create new avenues for collaboration and funding.
- Work closely with workforce development and academic teams to connect employer partners to program sponsorship, scholarships, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Maintain detailed records of partner meetings, commitments, and engagement activities to measure impact and guide future relationship strategies.
- Perform job duties in accordance with College policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, customer relations, or sales, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, clients, or customers
- Experience using online fundraising platforms, CRM systems, or customer databases and preparing reports or progress updates preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated skill in planning, writing, organizing, drafting, and editing written documents.
- Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, fundraising software (such as Raiser’s Edge), and foundation and government databases.
- Demonstrated expertise and working knowledge of technical principles, theories and concepts in field of specialization.
- Ability to handle sensitive and complex issues consistently, confidentially and professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and manage multiple tasks in a constantly changing work environment while paying attention to detail.
- Ability to independently make decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse population.
- Ability to consistently provide excellent customer service.
Successful candidate will be required to provide/obtain the following:
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check Clearance, and FBI Federal Criminal History Record Clearance at the employee’s expense.
- Basic employment verification, national criminal database search and five-panel drug screen at the College’s expense
