Elementary Principal (PreK-2)
Qualifications:
- At least five years of successful experience as an elementary educator.
- Appropriate Master’s degree or higher.
- Certification as a Pre-K - 8 Principal/Assistant Principal.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong investment in creating a safe and healthy learning environment for students (experience with collaborative problem solving preferred).
- Passion for high academic standards and expectations.
- Strong interpersonal skills while interacting with students, parents and staff.
- Successful management and supervisory experience including experience with DESE education evaluation system.
- Commitment to Universally Designed Instruction.
- Knowledge of MTSS and experience facilitating Data Teams.
- Effectively acts as an educational leader and building manager for designated building.
- Utilizes results to develop school improvement plans in cooperation with the Assistant Principal, Director of Equity, Curriculum & Instruction, Curriculum Coordinators, Department Chairpersons, Assistant Superintendent, and other partner leaders.
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of professional development.
- Builds and maintains an exceptionally positive school culture.
- Upholds Student Code of Conduct and fosters Core Values of SPIRIT.
- Communicates appropriately with parents and the community-at-large.
- Organizes and implements programs and/or activities designed to promote the students’ academic and social/emotional development.
- Supervises and evaluates building-level staff.
- Assists the Superintendent in the preparation of the annual operational budget.
- Develops a personal professional development plan designed to maximize knowledge and administrative skills in all areas related to the job description.
- Facilitates the School Advisory Counsel and assists the group with the development of the School Improvement Plan.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
Salary : $127,000 - $132,500
