What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at Westford Public Schools?
Westford Public Schools is seeking a full-time Speech / Language Pathologist to provide services to students at the Stony Brook and Blanchard Middle Schools.
- Provides direct, specialized instruction to students with a continuum of needs and services ranging from mild to moderate speech/language impairments to more substantial needs, such as those of students in specialized programs, serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, significant social emotional needs, neurologically complex/cognitive needs, and medically complex needs.
- Collaborates with special education teachers and other service providers and lead teachers of specialized programs.
- Conducts speech and language evaluations as part of the initial evaluation and reevaluation process.
- Participates in the IEP process, including making recommendations for services.
- Implements treatment plans for:
- expressive / receptive language delays
- articulation
- fluency
- pragmatics
- Facilitates student use of Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT) systems and Assistive Augmentative Communication (AAC) devices.
Salary : $55,482 - $110,834
