Location: Arizona
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: Salary or Hourly Commission/Bonus on awarded jobs
Key Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications for residential roofing projects
- Perform precise plan take-offs for shingles, tile, metal, and low-slope systems
- Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Develop competitive project proposals and bids
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Project Management teams to support bidding and job handoff
- Assist in scheduling material deliveries and crew labor based on estimates
- Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
- Prepare clear, professional homeowner proposals and document all estimate details
Qualifications:
- 3 years of residential roofing estimating experience
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and plan take-offs
- Strong knowledge of shingles, tile, metal, and low-slope roofing systems
- Excellent math and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and negotiation skills with homeowners, vendors, and team members
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Familiarity with estimating and project management software (Proline, Active Take-Off, or similar) preferred
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel to job sites
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Professional presentation and homeowner-facing communication
