Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Systems Quality Assurance. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Systems Quality Assurance challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Responsibilities:
Document test cases and risk research and create test plans
Record test progress and results
Identify and track issues throughout testing
Perform manual and automated testing
Consult with users providing advice and direction
Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes
Research system features being tested
Partner with Engineers to develop testing strategy
Log, track and verify resolution of software and specification defects
Understand and ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor for less experienced staff
Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
4 years of Systems Quality Assurance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2 years of HP Application Lifecyle Management (HP ALM)/Octane experience
Knowledge and understanding of test plans, test strategy, test scripts, test procedures, ambiguity reviews, and expected results
Experience with writing detailed manual scripts
Previous experience with defect root cause analysis
Experience documenting and communicating testing results across an organization
JIRA experience
Knowledge and understanding of various types and levels of testing (e.g., unit, integration, and system testing)
Working knowledge of tools such as Postman, Splunk or Oracle SQL Developer
Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong collaboration and partnering skills
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
