The Audit Manager will oversee audit engagements from planning through wrap-up, mentor teams, and drive service excellence. This position is available in our Charleston, Florence, Myrtle Beach or Spartanburg office.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements, supervising teams and reviewing workpapers during fieldwork
- Advise clients on GAAP/GAAS compliance, regulatory risks, and internal controls
- Draft and review complex financial statements and disclosures
- Resolve technical accounting issues and consult with internal experts as needed
- Manage client relationships, billings, collections, and engagement profitability
- Mentor and develop Associates and Senior Associates, providing feedback and career guidance
- Participate in business development, networking, and firm growth initiatives
- Serve as an instructor or discussion leader in internal educational programs
- CPA license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Accountancy or MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience with significant supervisory exposure
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and internal control frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and assurance applications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
