WCHS Assistant Soccer Coach

Webster County High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic program as an assistant soccer coach. Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting soccer practices, training sessions, and competitions.
• Support the development of individual player skills and team dynamics through effective coaching techniques.
• Help organize and supervise team activities, including games, tournaments, and team meetings.
• Monitor and evaluate athlete performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills and teamwork.
• Foster a positive and motivating environment that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team policies, schedules, and expectations.
• Assist in the recruitment of new players and promote the soccer program within the school and community.
• Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
• Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay updated on the latest coaching strategies and techniques.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience, preferably in soccer, at the high school or youth level.
• Strong knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and training methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with student-athletes and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and other coaching staff.
• Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the soccer season.
