What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker 1 - Washington Terrace position at Weber Human Services?
The Aging Services Department of Weber Human Services (WHS) is located in Ogden, Utah. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan County governments to serve as a local authority for provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior (Aging) services.
We provide opportunities and support for the senior citizens of Weber and Morgan Counties to increase their quality of life and extend their independence. Our programs are delivered with sensitivity to the frail elderly and those who have the greatest social and economic needs.

This individual will work with volunteers preparing facility to receive food from central kitchen, record food temperatures, prepare facility for meal service, and clean - up the kitchen and dining area after lunch.
The individual must be able to work independently in a timely and efficient manner. This person is required to have a valid food handler's permit from the local health department. This individual should be clean and practice personal good personal hygiene habits and following all safety & sanitation guidelines.
Support Washington Terrace Senior Center's meal programs:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 11 am ~ 2 pm (3 hours/day)
Total 9 hours/week.
High school graduate; ability to communicate effectively in English through written and verbal skills; will be required to earn Food Handler Permit from local health department; ability to work independently in a timely and efficient manner; ability to lift 40 pounds; experience working with the senior citizen population from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
