What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker 2 position at Weber Human Services?
The Aging Services Department of Weber Human Services (WHS) is located in Ogden, Utah. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan County governments to serve as a local authority for provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior (Aging) services.
We provide opportunities and support for the senior citizens of Weber and Morgan Counties to increase their quality of life and extend their independence. Our programs are delivered with sensitivity to the frail elderly and those who have the greatest social and economic needs.

Assists the Food Service Workers and kitchen leadership with food preparation, meal production, packaging, sanitation, and kitchen operations for the senior nutrition / Meals on Wheels program.
Typical Duties
Assist with preparation of hot and cold food items
Weigh, measure, mix, pan, cook, and bake foods
Portion and package meals for:
Bulk meal sites
Homebound meal delivery
Follow recipes and production guidelines
Maintain sanitation standards
Wash and sanitize:
Equipment
Utensils
Work surfaces
Kitchen areas
Assist with stocking and organization
Follow food safety and temperature guidelines
Help with meal service and kitchen workflow as assigned
This position also includes packaging prepared items for bulk meal delivery and or packaging for homebound delivery. There is mandatory general cleaning and sanitizing of work areas, work surfaces equipment and utensils.
This position also may include delivering of meals to sights and home deliveries.
Food Handler permit is required
High School Diploma is preferred
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods
Must follow directions and work as part of a kitchen team.
A Utah valid driver licenses.
