What You Will Do As a member of the Lower School faculty, you will:
- Design and teach engaging, developmentally appropriate music lessons for Lower School students
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment where exploration, creativity, and active participation are encouraged
- Help students develop foundational skills in rhythm, pitch, singing, movement, and musical literacy
- Integrate listening, movement, and performance to support depth of learning and student engagement
- Lead and coordinate grade-level musicals, concerts, and student performances
- Prepare students for seasonal programs, assemblies, and special events
- Collaborate to align music instruction with broader Lower School goals
- Build strong relationships with students and families through clear communication and encouragement
- Contribute to the life of the school as a colleague, community member, and participant in school events
- Model Webb’s core values of academic excellence, integrity, curiosity, and care for others
You Likely Have
- A bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred)
- Three or more years of experience teaching music to elementary-aged students
- Strong musicianship and a joyful, student-centered teaching approach
- An understanding of child development and how young learners engage with music
- A commitment to collaboration, reflection, and ongoing professional growth
